It was snowing like mad out today, so I devoted the morning to making new batches of soap. I've really been enjoying myself, and I'm actually excited to experiment with more scents tomorrow.
The Blueberry Muffin soap is irresistible; it smells exactly like fresh baked, sugary muffins straight from the oven, with just a tiny pat of butter melting on the top... mmmm mm!
I also tried out a Calming Blend that I recently received from BrambleBerry.com. It smells so good. I was hoping for something soothing, without a perfumy scent (as those give me headaches, which completely throws the whole "calming" idea out the window). I definitely was not disappointed! The scent is a mix of orange, lemon, lavender, bergamot, and cedarwood. I used a conch shell mold in seafoam green. I was so excited to see (and smell!) how well it turned out that I ended up hopping into the bath right after making a sample batch.
This last bar was from a very fragrant goat's milk base scented like Milk Chocolate Peppermint! Roy almost ate some of this one, claiming he thought it was a huge peppermint patty (I had to usher him out of the kitchen).
