Roy got the SEL job!

The only downside is that he will be working the swing shift's assembly line. With my current class schedule, we'll only be able to see one another on the weekends, but we know the end result will be worth it. With Roy's ability to learn quickly, take on responsibility and his friendly demeanor, I know that he'll be able to develop a good rapport within Schweitzer. Hopefully, with enough hard work, he can eventually move up to a position he can be comfortable working in for the long-term.

This company sounds a little too good to be true. Roy says no one is allowed to show up smelling like cigarette smoke, and that everyone is respectful and professional to one another. He read me some of the company values, and I can't help but think this might be a great place for him! One of their promises of quality is to get to the root of problems, which Roy will love: at his old job, everything was about finding ways to "stick bandaids" over problems and leave it at that, but Roy loves to dig deeper and find the root of a problem and deal with it. If he's working somewhere that actually encourages this and makes it a priority, I think he'll like working here! Above all, they seem to be a place that values creativity and inventiveness, and I have a feeling Roy's really going to thrive in an environment that will encourage his love of being an inventor.

We're so excited! In the long run, I have a feeling that this job is going to be great for us both.
